It is an effort to stimulate awareness and action in the Muslim community to WAKE UP to the reality of the harm being done to our families, to learn to SPEAK UP in order to break the silence that surrounds the issue, and to TEAM UP with others to work to change our condition.

The mental and emotional challenges that surviving such experiences present, can present decades after the abuse itself.... though it is not always the case that older survivors will go through flashbacks or other trauma symptoms.

believed about 1 in 6 males in the US experience it (as do about 1 in 5 females.
A lot of work remains to be done in this area, and it yet another way in which men
